How to Install binwalk software package in Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus)

binwalk software package provides tool for searching binary images for embedded files and executable code, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install binwalk 

binwalk is installed in your system.

Make ensure the binwalk package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep binwalk *

You will get with binwalk package name, version, architecture and description in a table
